The Ceramic dome filter combines mechanical filtration and physical absorption processes to reduce a wide variety of drinking water contaminants,  The pore structure of the ceramic allows efficient contact time to reduce a range of chemicals, most importantly fluoride. 

The filter is expected to last for approximately 12 months. 

As the water has already been through the ceramic filter before it gets to the carbon filter,  the carbon filter can be expected to last longer as the recommended 6months and should be able to last for 12 months as well, if kept away from direct sunlight and regular cleaning & maintenance instructions is adhered to
